Not your average shot but ...

... standing at the top of Bournemouth's East Cliff I was struck by two things and it was nothing to do with seagulls! 
First, the horizon in the small shot, which, from where I was, at 150 feet up, was 15 miles distant. If I'd been standing at the water's edge, and being 6 feet tall, it was just 2.9 miles distant. Yet from either location, the view would have been the same (ish). 
And second, in the larger shot you can see the distant 180 foot high Albany tower block. For those who have never seen the Saturn V (Apollo) rocket that took the men to the moon, this is how big it is. If the base was on the beach, the nose would be 36 feet higher than that tower block.
I cannot begin to imagine how brave those first astronauts were.
