We got off the minibus at Eira do Serrado ( where this photo was taken from ) and walked steeply down to the village! ( 1500ft difference )

When we got to Curral das Freiras we were glad of a coffee and a piece of Madeira cake as our reward!!!

Hot sunshine in Funchal this afternoon!

Gala dinner tonight...we fly back to Newcastle tomorrow afternoon.
