The Goethe Institute's former main building in Dokki, Cairo is being renovated now that the new one, built nearby, is in full operation. Let's hope this young man - in skimpy sandals and today pulling heavy buckets of liquid from ground level up to the ledge where he stands untethered - survives it without accident.
