'Jesus' from Africa

My friend lived in a monastery in Poland for several years. In this monastery served a priest, who in his youth was a missionary in Africa. When he died, the nuns were allowed to take his personal belongings. My friend chose this statuette and gave it to me. But I can not believe that this is Jesus.
