A day of threes
Up at three in the morning
Three flights
Three different countries.
After a fantastic time in Brazil it was time to move on. We're off to Santiago in Chile.
When we booked the trip we agreed to a rather circuitous route to save a few pounds. The plane first went to Iguazu Falls. We flew over them, then stopped, got off took our bags and ourselves through customs and got back on again. We thought we'd just be in transit all day and were surprised when we got an Argentinian stamp in our passports.
Next stop was Buenos Aires, the airport is nice. It's frustrating to stop at places you can't get out. We took another plane, although still on the same flight, to Santiago.
The plane was spangly and new and I got my camera out when we got over the Andes, our side of the plane was banked up a little to make getting the ideal photo problematic, just as I suggested out loud that the pilot might bank over for my benefit, he did and this was the result.
We arrived in Chile and the next part of the journey begins...
