Catkins

Despite feeling a bit fragile for one reason or another I managed to struggle out into the last of the sun. This shrub is called Garrya and looks like this in January and February. Our snowdrops are out too so things are starting to perk up.

It is Australia Day tomorrow and our son has announced he is going to a "Flag Unveiling and Beer Festival" in Melbourne. There's no mention of fellow Scot Andy Murray's heroic efforts just down the road!

He's having too good a time to bother about tennis and quite right too.
