Dads

What are Dads for?
I think this illustrates just one small part of the value of a good Dad. Flying down a toboggan run with his son on a kiddies sized toboggan.

It reminds me of my own Dad. How he brought me all over the country to football matches as we followed the beloved club in good times and bad.
How he took me on the crossbar of his bike, during his half day off from work, to my first cricket match.

Unfortunately, just three weeks short of his 95th birthday, he passed away peacefully last night. I miss him already.  Off to Ireland for the funeral first thing Monday morning. Will be missing from here for a while.... ten days perhaps.
