Beach benefits
Had a couple of walks on the beach this week and pleased to notice that the tides have dragged back in a lot of the small shingle and a decent supply of glass amongst it. This is yesterdays haul.
The blue piece is a good example of sea worn glass that started life as a shard of waste glass from a blue vat. When the mixing vats became clogged the operator would take a big hammer and break it up to remove it from the sides then dump it into the North Sea.
