Bleakery

Due to other things going on and people being away and all that kind of business I had to go out today if I wanted to get a ride in. The forecast was rubbish, the view out my kitchen window was rubbish too, but I went out anyway and the first twenty miles were pretty horrible - wind and rain and surrounded by general bleakery (not even a word, but it's what popped into my head whilst I was out there so I'm having it). Cut to The Meldons (pictured here) and the sun came out, the rain jacket came off and it all looked fine and rosy.

Short-lived. Arrived home after another thirty five miles cold, wet, filthy and absolutely ravenous. But happy of course. Of course! Let's not forget that :-)
