I should have seen the signs

I went for a walk this afternoon to climb a local hill called the Lantern Pike but I got distracted, found a completely new track and headed off in a different direction towards Birch Vale.

The sun disappeared and the dark clouds appeared so the views faded. I headed back all the time thinking there might be an interesting sunset but no.

I liked the light behind this signpost, a 5 pointer - there is one pointing straight at the camera!

p.s. Eventually there was a brief but amazing sunset ending with as bright a red as there has ever been. Unfortunately I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and did't do it justice so it's the signpost for my blip.
