An Apple A Day........

Woken at the back of 2am by voices and the occasional bang.
My neighbour and a workman seemed to be having a discussion.
2.30am a van left.
3am the van was back.
Shortly after a generator started up which continued all night (and day).

When I got up there was a message from Bags - Squirrel was not well and staying off school but Bags had to go and supervise some work ..... could I go and sit withe Squirrel for a while?.

Back home in time to meet SWMBO and head out to meet a friend and hand over a wooden hoop for a mobile.
As we left there were a couple of badly parked vans and a load of barriers outside the house - obviously the pavement and/or road was about to come up.
By the time we got home  half the road was ripped up and there was a van & trailer combo taking up back the parking spaces outside my house and blocking both my drive and the next door neighbour's.
A quick word or two from SWMBO and it was moved.

The monsters were pretty well behaved in the afternoon.

When we got home the neighbours power was still off and the workmen
were gone - after claiming the power was back on and they would be back tomorrow to fix the road and remove the generator.
Now the generator is giving power again.
The great British workman at his best!

Butterfly and the ray of sunshine have arrived safely .......... and Jay has been chased about the house by Butterfly - poor boy.
