Marbling

In a past life, it was rather easy to impress pupils by demonstrating this technique. It involved marbling ink, water and paper.
But it had two drawbacks
1. It could be rather messy
2. It didn’t take very long
However, these could be overcome by
1. Getting someone else to do “the dirty work”
2. Asking the pupils to cut up the sheets into little pieces and make a collage with them.
I took this photo this morning at the lake at Aden Park and it reminds me of marbling, although I didn’t use swans in the past!
