Spots and stripes

My new 4x macro filter arrived today and so I went in search of suitable subjects to experiment with. Liked this shot as I hadn't noticed the spotted leaf at the time I took the photo and it goes well with the stripes on the cap of the fungi (don't know the type)

Had an interesting experience this evening. Put the dog out the back door for a piddle and some movement in the grass caught my eye. Before I could look more closely Billy had lunged at it and had it in his mouth. A slight tussle later I managed to extricate a toad. Judging by the look on Billy's face I don't think it tasted very nice! Anyway i can report that both dog and toad survived the experience.
