The storm harbour is being mended
A recent storm damaged the entrance to Dunbar harbour and here the big machines move between the old and the new harbour while the tide is low with a view to mending the damage. The JCB is just coming out of the water because the tide is beginning to turn and the machines must move out of the harbour to avoid getting stuck, or damaged by the incoming tide. It is the end of the day for the machines at only 1 pm until the tide is out tomorrow when the machines return to carry on the repairs.
I like the contrast between the colour of the big diggers and the dull sky and muddy waters. (Wasn't muddy waters a blues singer?!)
