Road To Nowhere Update

The Road to Nowhere is now officially the Road to Somewhere, that somewhere being the highway outside of town on the way to the airport. While not yet open for vehicle traffic, it was open this morning to bicycle travel and I rode its entire length. This is the view from the area that was formerly just green hillside. The asphalt is beautifully smooth and the views of Playa Blanca, as seen here, quite spectacular. I read in the last entry that my time from bottom to top was 21 minutes, well this time it was right at 20, so I must be getting in better shape with all the volleyball I have been playing lately. No telling when the road will be open to traffic, but some day we will have a new route to the airport.
