No Fear

Larger eye in Large. ;-)     Okay, maybe just a clearer eye...

Today, some of the swans came close to where I was shooting.  They almost ignored me, though this male, never took his eye off me.  The others looked to him for leadership and relaxed in my presence once he did.  

With a lake as large as the Boardman, it is rare that the birds bother to come near land.  They usually (and swiftly) move away from shore once the humans appear.  I guess I didn't look too intimidating today or (more likely) I was camping out next to a good food source in the shallow water.  Either way, it was nice to get up-close and personal with these beautiful birds.
