Snowdrops but little snow!

Nellie of the woods arrived for coffee and announced it was snowing! Well, you had to look really hard to discern the small intermittent flakes! After she left it began to snow heavily and oh my was I ever excited! Been over 7 years since we got snow! I called Jo to see if she fancied a walk in it - which she did! However, by the time she and Kess arrived, it had stopped! It was supposed to continue snowing until 7 pm so we set out hopeful but our hopes were dashed!
On the positive side, I managed to walk through the local woods and back along the river for the first time in 5 months! Any walks I have done my car has been within easy walking distance - my safety zone! I was mildly anxious but taking photos and playing with Kess helped. That dog can find the longest sticks! Walking along by the river we bumped into The Weaver. He said he hadn't seen me in months and had wondered about it. I told him how I had been and the poor man felt so bad for not having known or reached out to me! He gave me a second big hug! We then walked on as I was close to tears with his kind words about how I had supported my friend and how sorry he was I'd been suffering. But it was good to bump into him. I had thought it safe with the time and weather to walk this route without bumping into anyone but it was another hurdle for me to get over.

I loved these chairs and table amongst the snowdrops - had to clamber up a bank and lean over the fence to get the photograph! The shed behind is actually a chicken coop, and as usual the ladies and fine cockerel were listening to Radio 4! They play it to keep the foxes away and must be working as they are still there after many years! They must be the most educated chickens around!
