Mystery Macro

I've photographed this object several times before, but still don't know what it is, and expect I never will.  I'm guessing it may be part of an old sowing machine from a farm.

And many thanks for the stars, hearts & comments yesterday.  I still can't quite believe I've kept at it so long.
