Snipe

Down to -5C. last night. The coldest of winter so far.

But with still air and bright sunshine it was just right for another walk at Leighton Moss Bird Reserve.

We saw a Water Rail. They are hard to see as they hide in the reeds. It was too quick to get a shot.

But this Snipe was more co-operative as it stayed still in the foliage near one of the hides.
