Anni Mamundi

Brightness...

... Back to the garden this morning.
Crisp blue sky, along with equally crisp and glistening snow in golden light.
This one is the more tentative bird of the usual pair, so I was delighted that he (?) came down to my feet and made eye contact.

Earlier, I had been all togged up to go outside when the telephone rang.
Dentist.
'Where are you?'
WHAT??
'You should be here for your appointment'.
No, no, no....!
I am not a happy visitor to Dentists.
I have yet (at even only a check-up) to return from 'The Chair' into reception and sign a recognisable signature. (They don't realise that my 'shaky 'Dentist signature' is vastly different from my usual one, obviously).
I can only think that last time I was there I completely blanked the appointment we apparently made for today.
Like some unwanted fly (or Internet date?) I just swiped it away!
 ;-/
So I had a mad brush and floss (as you do) and made it round there (over treacherous black-iced pavements) in fifteen minutes.
With bird food hanging out of my garden coat pockets!
No treatment necessary.
Joy abounds!
(And no sleepless nights or endless brushing days beforehand. Is it worth 'forgetting' in future one wonders?).

The birds knew nothing of this.
They were just singing for joy anyway.
