A great discovery!

Woke up to a snowy world this morning; very still, so all the trees and shrubs were snow-covered.

I had a meeting this morning at the Lorn Community Learning Centre at the new Rockfield Primary School campus at the far end of town. I was meeting the Community Development Officer who had offered to help me write a constitution for 'Keep Oban Beautiful', which we'll need if we're to push on and get anything useful done.

Laura was extremely helpful in all sorts of ways, but the most useful piece of information that I received this morning was that every week, members of the Argyll & Bute Council Youth Services Team visit Oban High School and have a break-time forum for any of the students who wish to come. I believe that they have a different question every week and get the pupils discussing whatever the subject is. It sounds really brilliant and may well be the window into the High School where the question of 'How to Keep Oban Beautiful' can be asked. 

Well worth following up - quite exciting really! Watch this space!
