The One and Only Terry Baum
Terry Baum is a world-rambling one-woman-show-performing laugh-engendering wise-crone-energy-weaving playwright, a fireball of energy who has been writing and performing since the 70's. We are old friends from my days as a professor of theatre and Queer Studies, and I hadn't seen her for 17 years, so we had plenty to catch up on. She's in Portland for a few days, and she found time to meet Sue and me for lunch. The show she's currently performing is called Hick, about Lorena Hickok and Eleanor Roosevelt, and I'm hoping she'll find a way to bring it to Portland.
