The most stunning piano performance I have ever heard.

After hearing and meeting Brendel last week, this was the perfect climax. Schumann followed by Schubert’s sonata 959 (Agu admitted holding it in his head all this week) with a breathtaking second movement. Then there were stunning encores including the schmalzy Rachmaninov melodía but before that Two Brahms intermezzo 117, the first of which made me cry and then Ernesto Lechona’s Malagueña. Just incredible. Control, depth and lightness, I could go on and on and on....
