Friday Bottom #15

This week's bottom comes from the garden at Versailles. It belongs to a statue called Le Gladiateur Mourant or The Dying Gladiator. It was carved by Michel Monier in 1681. If you want to see the whole thing, there's a photo (and more detail) of it here.

Spent a long and arduous day wandering the vast place that is Versailles. Left feeling very sorry for Marie Antoinette.
