Comrie.

The River Earn beside The White Kirk at Comrie in Perthshire.   Nearby was one of the most northern forts built by the Romans who recognised the strategic importance of the location although really Hadrian’s Wall to the south became the northern border of the Roman Empire.  Comrie’s main claim to fame is that it has been subjected to more earthquakes than anywhere else in Britain, probably because it lies close to the Highland Boundary Fault line.  Because of this it is sometimes called the “Shaky Toun.”
