tui in a pohutukawa tree

It doesn't get much more New Zealand than this... if we had our own 12 days of Christmas, this would be what my true love bought for me on the first day

I felt like David Attenborough stalking this guy... he hid in the darkness within the bush for ages, and teased by flitting to the next bush and back again.

This is one of the first pics I've ever got of a tui... having lived here all my life, I've only seen one a handful of times, so I feel pretty satisfied with this
