Matt and Adam

I had not seen Matt and Adam since the memorial for Jayna Gieber on November 11th. We talked about our loss, our love for Jayna, and in particular, a great loss to them: they had asked Jayna to conduct their wedding this coming September, and she had agreed. They are mourning and letting go, and they have an idea, now, of who they might ask to officiate in Jayna's absence, though they haven't yet contacted the person they're thinking about. Their wedding will take place on the ten-year anniversary of their partnership. Coincidentally, it is also the anniversary of my first date with Sue: the same day, three years apart! They want the ceremony to be both a Thai ceremony and a western one--with two outfits for each of them and some wonderfully elaborate plans for a ceremony that is both sacred and playful. We spoke about about planning, impermanence, dreams and passages. We had a lot to talk about.
