High water

The forecast was for continuous heavy rain turning to snow. The Arno at Le Sieci was already high, spread across the whole river channel with lots of big bits of debris on the move.

The Solano in Strada (that's Castel San Niccolo above it in the photo) was wild. However, people in the town did not seem perturbed.

The rain beat down most of the day . As I trudged up the hill hill one of the builders said to me, ' So, you are used to working in the rain?'
