Dores

We were hoping that the BBC forecast was right and expected a bright sunshine unfortunately it was overcast and the sun did nt come out till the afternoon by which time we were back home.
We went hunting for kingfishers and waxwings which had both been seen locally , no luck for us today though but we did watch two dippers displaying and a few gold crests that were flitting about over our heads.
We went over the new bridge and headed down to Dores.We thought we would have soup but changed our minds when we saw there was a roast beef on offer, delicious :)
The usual mallards were around and some of you will know this view down Lochness :)
We went to Merkinch and watched lots of curlew and oystercatchers that were resting on the sand bank.
