Spring carnival

So this is my dress for Spring Carnival. Horse racing is really big here. I have my ticket for the Melbourne Cup. Now I also have my dress, shoes, bag and fascinator... All from vintage stores. So excited!!
In other news, I was made to be very afraid of the Australian birds today. I was walking between the clinics where I work when a horrid Miner bird was swooping at me and being really very threatening. Once I got the the other clinic, I explained my story to the nurses and the general consensus was that at least they were not actually touching me. Instead they were just pecking in the air and snapping their beaks above my head. Feeling a little better about this, I walked back up the road, only this time got properly slapped in the head by this nasty, angry little bird three times!!! I guess all good luck comes to an end!!!!
