New Zealand Blue Heron....

....also known as the white faced heron.
This morning l met up with fellow blipper, Miffy, from Motueka. We had a coffee and a chat which was fun, good to meet you Miffy. Afterwards l wandered down to the estuary, the tide had come in and l saw several herons, this one looks as if he might gave been collecting material for a nest.
The extra shows some pied stilts which flew in, making a racket, as l was about to leave.
