a walk in the woods

Which by some spooky coincidence was the title of a film we watched last night.*

We had a brief stroll in the sunshine this morning to try and alleviate the severe attack of cabin fever I’ve been getting since shingles came to visit.  

Thanks for your good wishes, by the way - the drugs seem to have halted the progress of the virus.  


* the film was based on a walk undertaken by Bill Bryson along the Appalacian Trail.  Quite enjoyable although I just couldn’t really believe in a Bill Bryson (in his late 40s at the time of the walk) being played by Robert Redford (in his late 70s when the film was made.)  

I pointed this out to Anniemay.  She replied "he still has all his hair."  So much for film criticism.
