Who’d count the candles?

We couldn’t keep 4 candles alight, never mind 40. The wind picked up just as we brought the cake to the garden. It was a garden party. Great party, but a bit bittersweet, because the birthday girl has recently decided to return to England.
Needless to say she won’t be having a garden party next year.
