Time capsule

The builders found this paper under the floorboards - The Sunday Post from September 1973. As it happens, just a few days after I was born.

Funny looking through the news and features and thinking about how papers have changed. Maybe the Sunday Post less than others, but generally it was refreshingly free of stories about people who are famous for being famous.

The sport was a hoot too - once great wee teams who we've barely heard of now.

My folks and I tend to do the Sunday Post quiz each week so perhaps I will get this week's edition and bring it for the builders to leave under our new floor, for future owners to enjoy.
