The best of Bangkok

We were up early this morning to fit in a 6 hour guided tour of the best of Bangkok.

First stop was the Grand Palace when we arrived I covered my shoulders but was told that I couldn’t do that and had buy a t-shirt and they were horrible after a tantrum I bought one in the end but was not happy! I did really enjoy the palace once I’d got over the t-shirt saga! After the palace we visited Wat Pho a Buddisht temple it was huge with lots of temples within the grounds. The buildings were so pretty! We then went for lunch to a riverside restaurant which was Really yummy it was buffet of Thai and Chinese food. Once we’d eaten we walked through the flower market some of the flower displays were amazing! It was then back in the car for our next stop China town! We walked through a market area where they were selling everything from food, ingredients and Chinese New Year decorations! The smells put me right off Chinese food so glad I’d just eaten and some of the food we saw cooking was vile!!! Once we had walked through the market we arrived at our last stop of the day the Golden Buddha, inside there was the worlds largest golden Buddha so the leaflet says! It was a really good 6 hour tour and the guide had such good knowledge of the area!

We then decided to go and have a walk to Koh San road to have a walk around the shops and a few drinks in the bars! Lots of shops selling fake merchandise and trinkets! Stopped for a cocktail and then headed back to the hotel stopping off for some food I had a massam chicken curry which was yummy and Paul had pad Thai which wasn’t so nice!

Tonight we went to Lebua which is the hotel where the hangover 2 was filmed there is a sky bar on 64th floor which was amazing with views of Bangkok! The cocktails were not cheap tho so we stayed for two drinks and headed to a bar/club called Route 66 it was really nice with an outside area with comfy sofas to sit on and inside had a few different rooms playing different types of music!

Loved my first expierence of Bangkok.
