The Girls Are in the Yard

The top photo is a female broad-billed hummingbird. She is the first one I have noticed and captured. The bill is so much longer than the female Anna in the bottom picture.

I tried and tried and tried to get these ladies in flight, but to no avail today. One of these days I am going to get lucky and have one in frame and in focus. Luck is what it takes!

I picked up my brother at the airport this morning. His birthday is on Monday. Judy and I badgered him into coming so we could help him celebrate. Being a retired United employee, he has the ability to hop on the plane anytime there is a seat available.

Judy and Gary are handling the dinners for the next two days. I am grateful that playing the sympathy card works so well! Nothing better than siblings!
