Mrs. Kingfisher

Someday I'm going to get a good shot of a Belted Kingfisher.  In the meantime, I give you this heavily cropped back view and in the extra, a very distant, fuzzy front view.  I do think I could have done better with more time but Piper and her dad were not enjoying waiting for me.  This isn't the first time I've seen a kingfisher in this area so I'm going to go back alone tomorrow and try again....

I am grateful that Piper and her dad never complain about waiting but I still feel bad making them do it. :-)
