Let's Eat

This beautiful Common Eider caught some dinner.  I couldn't tell if it was a fish or a crab.  The way it was thrashing I'm thinking the latter.  As it moved about the water its head just caught the setting sun bringing out the golden light to its head.  

I just love seeing this bird at the town wharf.  Such a beautiful bird.  We only see it in the winter when it moves down this way.  Lucky for us.  

I was actually at the dock to capture the setting sun, but this Eider trumped a beautiful sunset.
