Male Chaffie.

Sorry Chaffinch I reverted to the colloquiums of my youth.  

I got up to find sleet falling.  The rest of the day has been mostly rain.  As a result I haven't been anywhere interesting to take shots.  What a change in the weather since yesterday's lovely bright day.

The result is bird shots from the window.  Fortunately there were some birds.  We have been devoid of birds recently.  This time last year the feeder would be empty in less than a day.  This week 1/3 had gone before this morning.  Today they have eaten as much as they did all week.

I would like to get to the bottom of what is going on, as I haven't seen the sparrowhawk for over a week, I don't think it is that.
