Day 034/18. "Darkest Hour"

On a forecast damp, dull Saturday, we decided on the cinema.
We went to see the 'Darkest Hour', the story of Winston Churchill's first few days as British Prime Minister during WWII.
An excellent, captivating film. If Gary Oldman does not get the Oscar for his performance he should eat Churchill's hat. Also an excellent performance from Lily James. I was not totally convinced by Kirsten Scott Thomas as Clemmie though.....
Far from an all action adventure, this is a highly entertaining movie  covering a crucial piece of British history. Recommended by me.
And the Cinema De Lux complex in Southampton is itself pretty impressive :)
