Gotcha

This male wood duck with his avant-garde hairdo barely stuck around long enough for me to grab the camera.  He didn't even wait for me to get him in focus.  No matter, I know he's out there lurking in the weeds and next time I'll be ready.

Back to the doctor today for dressing changes.  He's pleased, I'm ecstatic and wondering why I didn't do this a couple years ago.  I'm now out of the clumsy post-surgical shoe and as long as no one steps on my toe I'll be great.  Antibiotic, new bandages and I'm good until I see him again next week.  WooHoo!   Thanks everyone for your good wishes -- I really appreciate them!
