swan in sun

Had the 2 youngest grandchildren today and fortunately it was nice enough to take them for a walk to the ponds where this swan came to see if we had any food (we didn't) and caught the sun. 
This is the female, her partner died of old age about 3 months ago but they'd only managed to raise 1 of their 4 offspring prior to that. we thought the remaining cygnet would be around for quite a while but it has already been chased away (we hope that was its fate). Will she find a new mate?
This evening we went over to Tentsmuir for a headtorch run in the forest, a lot of people came out.
