Lovers Entwine

A fabulous but short day on the fells above Staveley and Ayside taking in a couple of Wainwright Outliers.
Descending a path off Newton Fell indicated in Alfred Wainwrights book, but overgrown and no longer readily used, I came across this twisted Yew.
It was a good place to sit down and nod off for a few minutes. (half an hour!)
After my dose of the Flu, I'm still wheezy when it comes to the uphill bits, but definitely on the mend.
