Great name for a Dog

Womble is our Friday therapy Dog. She is adorable and definately my favourite.

We said goodbye to Milly today. She is in her nineties, blind and terribly frail. She has had a UTI recently and so we have not seen her for a couple of weeks.
 
Her dementia is mild and she knows exactly what is going on. With her daughters, she has made the decision that now is the time to go into Residential care.

Milly came in today to say "Goodbye". 

My boss, Carol,  told me to get my tears out of the way before the farewell but it was still very poignant and moving. We do not usually have the opportunity to wish a departing member well; either death or further dementia takes them. Very sad. 

Just as Milly was leaving, Shirley called out "Have a lovely Christmas!"
