Nugget Point
Last day of the camper for a few days. We left Pounawea and heading north to Nuggets Point, a rather famous lighthouse location in NZ. Didn't really understand why until we got there. Wow!
As for the Catlins, interesting. I was expecting wild rugged coast, lots of forest and beaches. Got the coast and beaches, didn't get much forest, In reality, the Catlins is largely farmed with pockets of pristine bush. Didn't quite meet my expectations to be honest, but nonetheless, an awesome place. I will go back and will explore more, and yep, awesome for photography for sure.
On the road some after lunch heading for Wanaka. Fabulous drive up the Clutha River and within 2 hours we'd gone from wild coast, to snowy mountains. Awesome.
And then checked in At Edgewater, the venue for the conference I am speaking at. Adjoining rooms, overlooking the lake. The kids are in absolute heaven, Playground, good riding, loads of new places to explore.
