Lacecap.....

......a flower within a flower, dainty florets which glow against delicate outer flowers, a hydrangea which lightens a shady corner from my summer garden.

A little late with my blip today, a headache found me retreating back to bed for a few hours this morning, then out to lunch with a dear friend who I've known for many years, so nice to sit and chat for a while. It was only after tea I was thinking 'thank goodness the days are still long' as I ambled round the garden looking for a Flower Friday blip.

Friday.....happy times with a friend, cooler weather even some rain which was refreshing, a day for jeans and a jumper worn with a lightweight scarf, a day to ponder on the devastation ex Cyclone Fehi has left behind and to think of water shortages in Capetown, South Africa......climate change is here, are we ready, are we prepared, I wonder......
