White Feather

This little feather was quite still on a leaf even though it was windy.
White feathers always make me think of WW1 history. Women used to hand them to men who were not in uniform, to say they were cowards for not joining up to fight. Whether they should have gone or not, if that made them go to war, those women were sending a lot of them to their deaths.
