Short back and sides

JJ recently contacted BT to ask them to reduce the amount we were paying for Broadband and line rental but they declined so he told them he would find another provider, which he did.

Unfortunately all our email addresses are linked to BT and we subsequently found out they were going to charge us £5 a month for each email address, effectively wiping out what we were going to save by moving provider.

Yesterday we had almost completed transferring all our contacts, which in some cases entailed phone calls and a lot of verifying, when BT rang and agreed to drop their monthly charge from £65 to £25 because "they didn't want to lose us".  JJ was not best pleased and said so.

The only up side is that now we have changed all our email addresses to neutral accounts, JJ will have some bargaining power when he next has to renegotiate terms.
