Slating
We didn't have a plan for the day. I suggested a walk into Llanberis and all agreed that this was a good idea. I practiced using my new walking poles, which I decided would have conferred substantial advantage in the previous day's race. The joys of hindsight!
We walked most of the route of the Slateman Triathlon run, accompanied by Rosemary's commentary of her epic race on it earlier in the year. The walk up through the slate quarries offered ample photographic opportunity for me. Normally, I would have got moaned at for stopping every few minutes but Rosemary and her dad were happy ambling along. We managed a 10km walk and were glad to get home, especially as the slight glycogen deficit in Rosemary's brain was starting to result in strange behaviour.
