Going nowhere fast

Wind and rain this morning persuaded me to drive to work. The weather worsened during the day, and by going home time the combination of rain (and wind) impatience and the resulting crashes on the motorways led to near gridlock. I took almost eight times as long to get home as is usual, and almost all of that was in the first kilometre or two.
